Founded in 2002, the Home Care Association of America is the nation’s first association for providers of private duty home care, which includes non-medical home care services. The HCAOA is the recognized resource for information and definition of private duty home care practice, supported by a strong national membership of providers. HCAOA leads the industry that cares for people at home through education and advocacy.
Today, the HCAOA represents more than 1,300 member organizations and over 300,000 employees throughout the United States providing private pay in-home care services for the elderly and disabled.

Guiding Principles – Associations that have guiding principles use them to help determine how the association will conduct its business, assist in determining policy and positions, and in providing direction. While the mission and vision of the National Private Duty Association are the main tools for determining strategy and direction, these guiding principles complement that mission and vision.
HCAOA-Wisconsin is the Madison-based trade association of private duty home care providers dedicated to helping the aging, the ill and the disabled continue to live in their own homes. In addition to its most valuable resource — peer-to-peer networking — HCAOA-Wisconsin will provide news relevant to the industry, help in understanding federal issues, advocacy on state issues, and education on financial management, marketing and new product offerings. HCAOA-Wisconsin is here to help private duty home care providers help each other with their businesses and practices.

The Wisconsin ADRC‘s disease treatment and prevention strategies. The success of the Wisconsin ADRC relies on the participation and data collected from hundreds of research volunteers.
Midwest Home Care not only supports the scientific research occurring within our community, but also participates in the clinical trial studies on a regular basis. In doing so, the employees of Midwest Home Care are contributing directly to the possibility of discovering leading technologies, treatments and prevention strategies for the families we serve and the greater community of individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s. Participation in the clinical research is a three year commitment involving physical, cognitive and clinical procedures that contribute to the mission of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
Everything we have learned about memory, memory treatments and memory disorders is known because somebody volunteered for a research study. Because of volunteers, researchers are making great strides in early diagnosis of memory problems and in identifying potential new interventions to help treat, delay the onset, and possibly prevent Alzheimer’s disease entirely.
Clinical trials and studies are a partnership between researchers and volunteer participants, who work together to answer questions about humans that we can answer in no other way.
