Most would agree that exercise is a critical piece of overall health regardless of age. Some may think that as the years pile up, exercise frequency, intensity and duration can lessen with no ill effect.

Certainly things change, with respect to how a person is able to exercise as they age. Hip and knee replacements come to mind right away. But exercise still counts and remains one of the key pieces of maintaining a happy lifestyle as aging takes place. Exercise as a means of lessening brain shrinkage and warding off dementia is not read about quite as often, but the article below goes into that just a bit.
